Let's Go Green

I am so glad I’m beginning to feel better. I give myself a large choco chips cookies as a get well wish. I’m finally starting to sew and to paint again. I miss my hobby and 'only me time'. I’m so much in a Holiday Season mood and I don't want to be ruined by any rush projects I should be posted by next couple weeks. I’m bummed that I’ve missed a whole week of sewing but I’ve used my sick time for lots of thinking and planning. I’ve learned a lot about myself by having to slow down for awhile.

Number one, I need to swap any little things away.
Two, play truant.. and then play some games with my son.
Three, measure off my fabrics before I do anything else for the day.
Four, I truly love quilting and hope I always have time for it!
Five, quilters do come true!

Now let's check this out. It is mom's old pillow sheet. The fact, we have to change it with a new one. But  I really like that pillow sheet, because the fabric is so soft. That's why I need to add some this & that.. so,  it gets a reason to stay on our living room..... hey, I'm dressed!

I officially introduce you my private assistant.
There he is..... LOL.

Oh yess... & it is Spoon Stand Cover

Morning... & afternoon all ^_^
Here I'll show you what I've sewed last night as I promised. Have I drove straight for my quilt?? I don't think so..

It is not satisfying me enough. The fact is.. I could not sat nicely while I was trying to finish this cover. And I forgot to add a handle on top of it:(

Oh nooo

As I worked, I never got a full day of sewing. When I got a little time to do, there'll always be some interuptions. "Mom, where's my crayon... mom, can I get my tea now... mom, Ipus is missing.." and so on. Pfiuuh.. *wiping my sweat*
Now the bulk of the unfinished quilts increased. I'm not a weigh lifter, so I had to slow down and do another house work after each episode of sewing rows together. (Surely, I need a studio/quilting room to make it easy to finish all quilts... *pray!*)

Oh noo... look, who sewed that?
Sweetheart, did you sew those lines??
Did I sew that wonky thing?!
Well, I confess.. it was really the new machine. And yes that I can't drive straight. And still I have no idea to fix it:( Or maybe I need some exercises..
Ok, it's enough for today. We will see how the next ones come out.. tomorrow. *still I can't imagine what that 'wonky thing' would be tomorrow*
Happy Friday, everyone... ^_^

Ouch..

Anytime I started to sew something, I had a little problem and then, all of a sudden, it stopped. And in my zig zag & another stitches, it seems to not catch the bobbin thread in the second half of the zigzag. So I end up with a straight stitch in my zig zag setting.
Now I need a glass of wine (did I say wine?! hey.. I dont drink alcohol!), leave it alone for a bit, come back, and futz a bit... and it seems ok for about one quilt block. And then it starts eating thread again.
Is the machine really that sensitive to thread & needle?? It didn't seem to matter for a while. But now it seems so picky!
So, is this something that I need to bring my machine on for? Or am I just an idiot when it comes to needle & thread usage?!
I'll probably need more wine to bring it in. But if any of you have the "ouch!" solutions, I'm all ears!

Mini Tote Bag

Now I just need some favor taking a picture of it. None is usually home during the day when it’s light out so I can take a pic outside. Maybe I’ll set up a close line or something
